The already booming downtown dining scene just got another excellent addition.
Eddie V’s Prime Seafood joined the downtown restaurant community this year when they opened on 501 Grant Street. Their establishment is located on the first floor of the Union Trust Building, which was part of a $100 million renovation done on the building. The restaurant seats 274 guests and has live jazz played by local musicians each night.
Eddie V’s Prime Seafood sets the grandiose mood of the meal with extravagant décor, giant booths, chandeliers and a wine cellar with over 300 different wine options. Their menu includes various classic seafood and steak dishes including Steak and Lobster Tartare, Batter-fried Oysters, Maine Lobster Tacos and fresh seafood like Parmesan Lemon Sole, Georges Bank Scallops and Pacific Ahi Tuna.
“If you’re looking for a sophisticated fine dining experience, visit your Downtown Pittsburgh Eddie V’s Prime Seafood Restaurant,” their website notes. “We feature an abundant selection of curated cocktails to complement meals made from the highest quality ingredients and prepared to perfection. At our restaurant at the corner of Grant Street and Fifth Avenue, we strive to create a memorable experience for each guest.”
The Pittsburgh Eddie V’s location is also getting a special new cocktail menu that was formulated by mixologists and chefs for over a year, and will eventually be in all locations. Some of the specialty drinks include the “Hope Diamond,” which is served with a diamond ice cube that colors it a deep purple, and a “Smoked Old Fashioned,” which is served from a glass that smokes as it’s poured.
The restaurant opens at 4:00 p.m. everyday and happy hour runs from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
